A good ad result is a useful brief for the next creative attempt. Runway’s October 27 update includes Runway Ads with every paid plan, letting more creators bring campaign results into the same workspace as the tools making their next variations. This is wider access to a product first announced September 30, not a new launch date. October 27 changelog.

The practical difference from a one-off ad generator is the feedback available to the assistant. With Meta, TikTok or Google Ads connected, it can work from existing creative and campaign data. Without a connection, you can still make creative, but the assistant does not have those account results to draw on. Current introduction.

Start with a question the next variation can answer

For an illustrative test, keep the offer and placement fixed and change one opening hook. Compare whether the new version makes the benefit clearer before commissioning a larger batch. If every element changes, it becomes harder to explain what helped. This is a proposed creative-review exercise, not a campaign or performance result we measured.

The current publishing instructions also give a useful boundary: after an Admin approves creative, an Admin or Billing Admin can publish it into an existing ad set or ad group in a paused state. The platform’s own review still applies. Approval is not evidence that an ad is live or earning results.

Included access still needs a production budget

Runway Ads works in desktop web browsers, not mobile web or the mobile apps. Pricing lists Standard at $15 monthly or $12 per month billed annually, with 625 monthly credits. The Ads interface is included; generating images and video spends normal workspace credits. Connecting accounts, syncing, dashboards and approvals do not use credits. Advertising-platform spend is a separate budget.

Before connecting clients, check the workspace boundary. The setup guide says everyone with access to that workspace can see its ad spend and results. The FAQ also documents one shared advertising goal per workspace and recommends separate workspaces for separate brands.

Begin with the right workspace, one approved offer and one clearly scoped variation. Inspect the generation cost and paused ad before choosing what to run. For creative that starts from a website rather than campaign history, our PixelDojo brand-kit coverage explains a related route; the output evaluation guide helps define the review.
